The winter season in the prominent mountain resort Pamporovo will open on the 15th of December and brand new unique of its kind ski lift has already been put into operation. The new lift in Pamporovo is the most contemporary one on the Balkan Peninsula and it is ranked the second in Europe. 6-seat lift, called "Pomagalski" connects Pamporovo with the village of Stoikite. The opening of the new lift equipment also marks the official start of the winter season in Pamporovo ski resort.

The ski lift passes through the distance from Stoikite village to Snejanka Peak for only 8min with maximum speed 6m per second, which makes it the only one of its kind on the Balkan Peninsula and ranks it very highly as the second in Europe. The length of Bulgarian "Pomagalski" is 2992m and it has a capacity of 2400 people per hour. All seats are equipped with special helmets which protect from severe winds and snowfalls. The lift has at its disposal optical connection between the stations, and in this way there will be observation in every point of the new lift equipment at any time.
